Capri
A firm favorite with Roman Emperors, artists, writers, movie stars, and the international jet set, the small island of Capri is exceptionally beautiful. Villa Jovis
Commissioned by Roman Emperor Tiberius in the 1st century AD, Villa Jovis is an excellent example of Roman civil engineering while it also offers a beautiful view over the Gulf of Naples.
Villa San Michele
Built in the 19th century, this impressive estate was the former home of Axel Munthe – a famous Swedish physician. Today you can visit the site to admire its gardens, statues, artifacts and architecture.
Villa Lysis
A striking art-nouveau villa on Capri’s northeast tip that was once the retreat of French poet Jacques d’Adelswärd-Fersen.
Certosa di San Giacomo
Founded in the second half of the 14th century, this is one of the oldest buildings on Capri. Admire the beautifully preserved architecture and painted ceilings and enjoy spending some time away from the crowds of Capri.
Casa Rossa
The former residence of the American lieutenant John Cay Mackowen. It is now a museum that houses a permanent image exhibition of Capri during the 19th and 20th centuries as well as four Roman statues discovered in the Blue Grotto.
The Gardens of Augustus
Founded by Roman Emperor Augustus, these terraced gardens lead to a lookout point where you can take the classic shot of the sea and the Fraglioni.

Experience Capri’s Dolce Vitta at Piazza Umberto I
Known by the locals simply as ''a chiazz", this is the beating heart of Capri. Its pavement cafes are often frequented by jet-setters and stars of the silver-screen so search out a spot, sip on a cocktail, and you might just run into your favorite Hollywood star.
Take the Chairlift to Mount Solaro
If you’re looking to experience the most beautiful panorama on Capri, all you need to do is to take a simple, 12-minute chairlift ride from Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri. Standing over 1900 feet above sea level, the view from the top of the mountain extends all the way to the distant mountains of Calabria.
Visit the Historic Center of Anacapri
Take a break from the glamour of Capri’s Piazzetta and take the winding 1.8-mile road to the quiet enclave of Anacapri. Walking through the historic area’s narrow lanes and peaceful piazzas adorned with colorful bougainvillea is sure to put your mind at ease.
