Exploring the Secrets of Dalmatian Cuisine

Indulge in a unique culinary exploration of Dalmatian cuisine. You will visit a traditional home in the village of Mokosica where you will be introduced to the ways of the peka. The peka is a particular way of preparing food but it is also the name of the resulting dish. Usually veal, lamb or even seafood are layered together with potatoes and vegetables on a shallow metal tray and seasoned with Mediterranean herbs and olive oil. This metal tray is then covered with a bell-like lid and usually cooked on an open fire. The result is a hearty mouthwatering dish, which you will get to enjoy together with a glass of local red wine while learning everything you would like to know about Croatian cuisine and everyday life.
