The Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias is a state of the art entertainment and cultural complex in Valencia and one of the Twelve Treasures of Spain. Designed by the famous local architect Santiago Calatrava, the impressive futuristic buildings are home to a host of fascinating venues. During your time in the City of Arts and Sciences, you will have the opportunity to discover the stunning design features of the Opera House, the Hemisferic, the Umbracle and the Museo de Ciencias. You will then step into the aquatic world of L’Oceanografic that is regarded as Europe’s largest aquatic museum. Here you can explore marine life from several different parts of the world as well as sections the museum’s sections focused on the Arctic, the Antarctic, Temperate Seas, Tropical Seas, Oceans and the Mediterranean.
